Roll up your sleeves and get cooking for a very good cause

- Claire Murphy

LITTLE bakers and big bakers around the country are being asked to roll up their sleeves for a very good cause.

The Great Irish Bake for Temple Street takes place on Friday, April 20, to raise funds for crucial equipment.

Darcie Belle Kelly (6), pictured, from Dún Laoghaire helped kick off the campaign with ambassador Mairead Ronan. Broadcaster Mairead said every cake sold in aid of the children’s hospital “has the power to do real good for thousands of children”.

Denise Fitzgerald of the Temple Street Foundation said: “Doctors and nurses need your help to raise the funds needed to buy vital paediatric equipment.”

Budding bakers can sign up to receive a Great Irish Bake recipe book and toolkit with tips for hosting a bake sale.
