Past women players to get Ireland caps

-

OVER 100 female players who played in competitive Ireland Test fixtures between 1993 and 2006 will be presented with a international cap.

IRFU president Philip Orr will present the caps during Ireland v Scotland team dinner on March 11, following Ireland’s final home Women’s Six Nations international.

“The IRFU are very grateful to all those who were the pioneers of women’s rugby in Ireland and we are pleased to be in a position to recognise players who have yet to receive their cap,” IRFU CEO Philip Browne said. “We are delighted that we will be joined by so many of these former players at our last home Women’s Six Nations match and team dinner.”
