Graham wins PING PGA Ulster Golfers’ Alliance

GROOMSPORT Golf Centre’s Gareth Graham survived a late double-bogey to win the latest round of the PING PGA Ulster Golfers’ Alliance series at Donaghadee.

One-under-par for the day playing the 18th, he hit his second shot out of bounds but a one-over 72 for 35 points gave him a one-shot victory over North West’s Brian McElhinney, Spa’s Gary Wardlow and Belvoir Park’s Chris Carvill.

Spa 13-handicappe­r Philip Burrows won the amateur nett with 41 points while Clandeboye’s plus three handicap star Jessica Ross had 32 points to win the gross.
