Traditional comforts in mature parkland

Clairville Lodge, Malahide, Co Dublin

-

CLAIRVILLE Lodge, a scheme of four and five-bed properties just a five-minute drive from the north Dublin coast village of Malahide, is firmly designed with well-heeled trader-uppers in mind.

The development, which is set off the semi-rural Streamstown Lane and surrounded by mature parkland, was launched in October. There are still two homes left from the initial phase, with the second phase of the 34-unit development scheduled to come on stream later in the spring.

For now, there is one home available from the Charleton range: this is a four-bed detached style house measuring 2,101 sq ft and priced from €900,000. The second home on the market is from the Berkeley style, namely a five-bed detached house type spanning 2,498 sq ft and costing from €1.05m.

The ODA Architects-designed homes are traditional in style, as they are double-fronted and have bay windows and a mix of brick and render to the façade. There’s even a chimney — a rarity in an A-rated home. Internally, there are high ceilings, a study, a separate living room, and an open-plan kitchen/dining/family room. Viewings are by appointment.
