Saul’s stunner sets up Atletico
SAUL NIGUEZ’S stunning solo strike inspired Atletico Madrid to a deserved 3-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
After riding a challenge near the halfway line, the midfielder dribbled towards the goal and, as the Moscow defence backed off, he unleashed an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
Diego Costa added a second two minutes after the break and Koke bagged a late third.
Valon Berisha scored twice to give Red Bull Salzburg a shock 2-1 away win at Borussia Dortmund.
The Norway midfielder scored twice for the Austrians in the second half, his first from a penalty, before Andre Schurrle pulled a goal back for Dortmund.
Lyon also grabbed an away victory, Marcelo’s first-half strike giving them a 1-0 win against CSKA Moscow.
