MAKE YOUR OWN COMFREY PLANT FOOD
THRIFTY TIP
Make your own liquid plant food from comfrey leaves or nettles. If you don’t have a comfrey plant, ask a friend for a division or order roots from The Organic Centre (theorganiccentre.ie). Comfrey leaves are rich in potassium, potash and nitrogen so great for fruiting plants such as tomatoes. Leave the leaves to soak in water for a month, covered for safety and to reduce the pungent smell, and dilute the resulting liquid 1:10.
