Cunniffe hits four
LEITRIM 6-21 CAVAN 3-7
LEITRIM advanced to a final meeting with Lancashire after a comfortable victory over Cavan in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
Clement Cunniffe led the Leitrim attack with four goals, three in a six-minute blitz from the 27th minute. Zac Moradi added another goal in time added on to give the hosts a 4-10 to 0-3 lead at half-time.
A second Moradi goal three minutes after the break and Cunniffe’s fourth in the 44th minute put the game beyond Cavan’s reach. Two late goals from Cormac Wall and one from Sean Keating were some consolation to Cavan as Leitrim emptied their bench.
