Ladies launch TV schedule

Ladies Gaelic Football Association chief executive Helen O’Rourke has admitted that finding suitable times for televised fixtures of their TG4 championship games has proved “extremely challenging” because of the new GAA championship format.

TG4 will screen 19 fixtures covering the senior and intermediate championships from Saturday, July 14 until All-Ireland final day on Sunday, September 16.

“Due to the GAA’s new schedule, we felt restricted to a large degree and we had to work extremely hard to find suitable broadcast times,” she said.

TG4 ladies football championship TV schedule: Saturday, July 14: Championship, 1pm and 3pm; Saturday, July 21: Championship, 3pm and 4.45pm; Saturday, July 28: Championship, 1pm and 7pm; Monday, August 6: Quarter-finals, 3pm and 4.45pm; Sunday, August 12:Quarter finals, 5pm and 6.45pm; Saturday, August18: Semi-finals, 4pm and 5.45pm; Saturday, August25:Semi-finals, 12.30pm and 2.15pm; Sunday, September 16: All-Ireland finals.
