Toulon bring in Fekitoa to face Munster

- Ruaidhri O’Connor

ALL BLACK centre Malakai Fekitoa has been added to Toulon’s European squad ahead of their Champions Cup quarter-final against Munster at Thomond Park.

The brilliant midfielder missed the earlier part of the season through injury, but is fit and firing again and his combination with compatriot Ma’a Nonu will give Munster coach Johann van Graan sleepless nights ahead of the last-eight clash in just over two weeks’ time.

Munster have added Dan Goggin, Jeremy Loughman and Jack Stafford to their ranks for the knock-outs, while Leinster are able to select Rhys Ruddock who is expected to be fit in time for their Easter Sunday meeting with Saracens. Prop Vakh Abaladze and scrum-half Charlie Rock have also been registered.

Connacht have registered Cormac Brennan, Andrew Browne and Conan O’Donnell for their Challenge Cup quarterfinal against Gloucester.

Elsewhere, Warren Gatland has made seven changes for Wales’s clash with France tomorrow in addition to moving Saracens’ Liam Williams from full-back to wing.

Captain Alun Wyn Jones leads the side after being rested for last weekend’s bonus-point victory over Italy, while fullback Leigh Halfpenny, centre Scott Williams, fly-half Dan Biggar and flanker Josh Navidi are among those who also feature.

Biggar is back in the number 10 shirt, taking over from Gareth Anscombe, and Williams is in for Owen Watkin, with prop Rob Evans and hooker Ken Owens also returning to action.
