CONTEMPORARY-STYLE threestorey houses have become the design du jour for Dublin developments. But the tall homes that make up the most recent phase of Stepaside Park, have been given a period twist.

These five-bed detached houses have a turning staircase from the ground floor right to the top floor, as well as extra-high ceilings to the ground level, bay windows, and brick to the facade, all of which lend an Edwardian feel to the buildings. The homes are accessed through the Stepaside Park scheme, built in 2004.

The initial phase of a new section of Stepaside Park, which will eventually comprise 46 detached homes, was launched in 2016 and a second release of eight five-bed houses followed in October. There are still three houses available from the most recent tranche. Two have 2,282 sq ft of living space each and the third is 2,357 sq ft. All are priced from €850,000.

Each property has French doors and feature glass screens that open from the kitchen/diner to the rear patio and garden. As well as a living room on the ground floor, there is a second, less formal family room on the first floor. Also on this level are a master ensuite with walk-in wardrobes, another bedroom, and a family bathroom. On the second floor is a second ensuite bedroom with walkin wardrobes, two further bedrooms, and a study. Viewings are by appointment.
