Live at the seaside in bungalow bliss

Hamilton Hill at Barnageeragh Cove, Skerries, Co Dublin

-

FOR SOME, Skerries will conjure up nostalgic memories of childhood daytrips to the seaside and summers spent in mobile homes. But the coastal town has also become a hub for developers catering for families seeking affordable homes within the confines of Co Dublin. The newest development on the block is Hamilton Hill at Barnageeragh Cove, a Winsac Ltd scheme launched in 2016 that’s a short walk from the beach. A slew of phases followed, including a final launch of seven three-bed bungalows that was released in January. One of those bungalows is still on the market: it measures 1,262 sq ft and costs €430,000. Externally, the contemporary-style house has granite sills to the large floorto-ceiling windows that maximise the natural light flooding into the bungalow, as well as self-coloured plaster render. There are two designated parking spaces and a pathway leading up to the grey front door. The internal layout is open plan, and the fitted kitchen comes with an integrated fridgefreezer, oven hob, and dishwasher. The A3-rated home has a condensing boiler for heating and PV panels. Hamilton Hill is set on an elevated site and incorporates a blend of hard and soft landscaping, a cycle track and winding pathways. It is a short walk to Skerries train station with its 20 rail services a day to Dublin. The M1 is a 15-minute drive away. Viewings are by appointment.
