Classical look to A-rated units near Blarney
Clonlara, Kerry Pike, Co Cork
MORE than 40 homes have been sold at Clonlara since the development, situated in a largely unspoiled and picturesque hamlet called Kerry Pike, was launched on the northwest outskirts of Cork city last May.
When the scheme is finished, it will comprise 144 three and four-bed semi-detached and detached houses. Clonara is being built by O’Flynn Construction, the prolific Cork developer behind the Old Quarter development in Ballincollig.
There will be five different styles of homes among the 20 houses being released in a third phase this weekend. Prices start at €315,000 for a three-bed semi-detached design measuring 1,237 sq ft, with a 1,334-sq ft four-bed version costing from €345,000. The four-bed detached styles, meanwhile, span between 1,500 sq ft and 2,059 sq ft, with prices starting at €400,000.
The facades of the houses have a classical appearance. The windows are made from PVC and are double glazed. There is a cobbled parking area out front that’s surrounded by painted metal railings, with a lawn and a pre-cast patio to the rear. Inside, there are panelled doors and moulded skirting and architrave throughout. The living room is home to a solid fuel stove and some of the bedrooms come with fitted wardrobes.
The A-rated homes at Clonlara have energy-saving features such as an air-to-water heat pump for the central heating. Kerry Pike is close to Blarney and is a few minutes’ drive from Apple’s European headquarters in the Cork suburb of Hollyhill.
Four showhouses will be available to view at Clonlara tomorrow, between 12pm and 2pm. Enquiries to: Sherry FitzGerald (021) 4273041
