Tribeca sets up office in Dublin
IT support provider Tribeca Technology has opened its first office in Dublin.
The company, which specialises in providing IT support to the hedge fund market, said that it had been looking to strengthen its European offering by expanding in key financial centres close to the UK.
As well as supporting new clients in Ireland, the company will also be assisting existing clients based in Dublin with additional IT support beyond remote services.
Tribeca, which generates turnover of £4m (€4.5m) annually, hopes to grow this turnover to £100m (€114m) over the next seven to eight years, Robert Blake, marketing manager of Tribeca, told the Irish Independent.
Among the services that will be available from Tribeca’s Dublin office are business IT support, network design, data centre hosting, cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
Commenting on the opening of the Dublin office, Mark Instance, managing director of Tribeca, said that the location reflected the company’s “dedication to providing clients within Dublin with an unparalleled, high-performance technology service”.
“It is one of the world’s key strategic locations for fund domiciles and home to nine of the 10 world-leading technology companies,” Mr Instance said.
“The fact that Ireland is the only English-speaking member in the eurozone and is known for its practical regulatory framework and support for the funds industry made it an obvious choice for us.”
Founded in 2006, the company has clients across 17 countries. (Additional reporting byPA)
