SSE AIRTRICITY LEAGUE PREVIEWS

- – AIDAN FITZMAURICE

BOHEMIANS v CORK CITY (Dalymount Park, 8.0) Live eir Sport 2 Team news: Paddy Kavanagh suspended for Bohs, while Oscar Brennan and Derek Pender are still injury worries. Cork will be without banned pair Steven Beattie and Gary Buckley but Alan Bennett is fit again. Talking point: Back-to-back wins and clean sheets will have boosted Cork’s confidence and Bohs will struggle with the burden of three games in seven days, but the Gypsies tend to get at least one result per season against the Leesiders and opportunity knocks for a draw here.

Ref: Paul McLaughlin

Odds: Bohemians 4/1, Cork 7/10, Draw 13/5

Verdict: Draw

DUNDALK v DERRY CITY

(Oriel Park, 7.45)

Team news: Karolis Chvedukas is out for Dundalk and Dan Cleary is an injury doubt. Conor McDermott and Nathan Boyle are injury doubts for City. Talking point: Derry and Dundalk are the most in-form sides in the country, with six straight wins each, but with three of Derry’s next four games away from home, starting here, that run will be tested and Dundalk look too strong. Ref: Ben Connolly

Odds: Dundalk 4/9, Derry 6/1, draw 10/3 Verdict: Home win

SHAMROCK ROVERS v LIMERICK (Tallaght Stadium, 8.0)

Team news: Dan Carr is suspended for Rovers, while Trevor Clarke is out long-term. Limerick are boosted by Eoin Wearen’s return from injury after a five-game absence but Darren Dennehy, Mark O’Sullivan and Danny Morrissey are all injury concerns.

Talking point: After three successive defeats, a win here is essential for Rovers and with just one goal from their last six, hard to see Limerick coming up with the goals to make that happen. Ref: Neil Doyle

Odds: Rovers 4/11, Limerick 17/2, draw 7/2

Verdict: Home win

WATERFORD V BRAY WDS

(RSC, 7.45)

Team news: Severe test of Waterford’s squad with four players suspended: Gavan Holohan, Sander Puri, Stanley Aborah and Bastien Hery, while Kenny Browne and Rory Feely are injured and Dean O’Halloran needs a fitness test. Bray are missing the injured Aaron Greene and Darragh Noone, with John Sullivan a doubt.

Talking point: Morale is high at Bray after Monday brought their first points, and clean sheet, since the opening day of the season. Waterford’s gallop has been halted of late and those suspensions will hit hard here.

Ref: Anthony Buttimer

Odds: Waterford 8/13, Bray 15/4, draw 13/5

Verdict: Draw
