Last house teed-up for family use

Broadlands, Killiney, Co Dublin

-

BROADLANDS, a scheme of 28 family homes directly across the road from Killiney Golf Club, has appealed to house-hunters seeking to downsize from vast piles in Killiney, Dalkey and Foxrock to an energy-efficient new-build in the affluent south Dublin suburb.

All but one of the 28 houses at the O’Flynn Construction scheme have sold since the upmarket development was launched in September, leaving just the second showhouse used to market Broadlands on the market.

The three-storey showhouse, which has been fully furnished and decorated by the interior designers at The Good Room, is for sale at €785,000, a price that includes all its contents. The showhouse would especially suit an investor seeking a high yield in an area suffering from a dearth of family rental properties, according to the selling agent.

No 5 Broadlands, which measures 1,733 sq ft, has been fitted out as a three-bed home, but a prospective buyer could transform the second living room on the first floor into a fourth bedroom, the agent said.

The house has extra-high ceilings to the ground and first floors, a hand-painted kitchen, bedroom wardrobes from Cawleys Furniture, and Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware in the bathrooms and ensuites.

Residents can relax at the neighbouring Cluny Park or commute to the city centre using the M50, Dart or Luas.

Viewings of the Broadlands showhouse are by appointment. Enquiries to: Lisney (01) 638 2700
