8: Favourite TV show and why? Australian MasterChef. I’m a bit of a foodie!

9: Earliest rugby memory growing up? Playing in a blitz up in Coleraine for North Kildare U-10s.

10: Who is the joker in the dressing room? Fergus McFadden.

11: Favourite holiday destinatio­n and why? Mexico. The people, the weather, the food, all awesome.

12: Favourite away ground to play at? Thomond Park.

13: Three people (dead or alive) who you would invite to dinner? Anthony Bourdain, Eddie Vedder and Larry David.

14: Most memorable moment in rugby? Before this year’s Grand Slam it was the All Blacks game in Chicago.

15: Do you have any pre-match superstiti­ons/rituals? Nope.

16: Who is the best player you have played alongside and why? Isa Nacewa. The consummate profession­al.

17: Who is the best player you have played against and why? Of the second rows I would say Bakkies Botha. As hard as nails.

18: Can you tell us one interestin­g fact about yourself? I was a pretty chunky kid!

19: Name three things that are always in your fridge? Greek yoghurt, feta cheese and chorizo.

20: Best advice you ever got? Put the head down and work hard. Don’t wait for things to happen, make them happen yourself.
