Scheme makes most of Wild Atlantic Way

Lackagh, Portnoo, Co Donegal

-

PORTNOO and its sister village of Narin are small holiday resorts on the northern shore of the Dawros peninsula in Donegal, just a few miles along the coast form Glenties. They are home to a beach that was last year awarded Blue Flag status and to the Narin & Portnoo Golf Club, a scenic 18-hole links golf course played by the late Christy O’Connor Senior.

Just a few minutes’ away from the beach and the golf course lies Lackagh, a development aimed at both holidaymakers and potential full-time residents keen to live on the Wild Atlantic Way. The scheme, which consists of just seven four-bed detached dormer-style homes, makes the most of its picturesque location with an on-site walkway that leads to a raised viewing platform. To the rear of Lackagh is a seating area overlooking a small fishing lake.

Prices for the contemporarystyle homes, which measure 1,440 sq ft and come with triple-glazed aluminium sliding doors and side screens, start at €240,000.

The centrepiece of each home is a bright open-plan kitchen/ dining/living room with a sun lounge and a large picture window that commands views of the surrounding landscape and the Atlantic Ocean.

There are shaker-style units and ceramic wall tiles to the kitchen area, and a multi-solid fuel stove to the living space.

There are two bedrooms and shower room on the ground floor and a further two bedrooms — including the master ensuite — and a bathroom on first floor. Viewings are by appointment. Enquiries to: Property Partners Paul Reynolds (074) 9122399
