Failings of No campaign exposed

■ The RTÉ and TV3 debates on May 22 succeeded in lifting the veil and exposing the misinformation of the No campaign.

It was forced to accept that not only had all alternative options to the Government proposals been investigated, but to admit it wouldn’t have supported any proposals that change the current situation in any case.

It was forced to admit that it will cry crocodile tears for rape victims and then force them to carry their pregnancies to term.

It was forced to admit that it is happy to export our women to the UK because it does not have the courage or compassion to look after them at home.

Like many of us, I often find my opinions at odds with the Government.

This isn’t one of these times. For compassion, truth and bravery vote Yes tomorrow.
