Hennessy is caught on camera walking to pub hours after his evil act
CCTV footage has emerged of evil killer Mark Hennessy calmly walking to a pub just hours after he had murdered Jastine Valdez.
The 40-year-old, who was shot dead by a garda detective less than 24 hours later, spent 10 minutes at the premises in Ballybrack, south Dublin, before leaving again.
CCTV footage taken from a nearby store shows Hennessy arriving at
10.50pm in the black Nissan Qashqai he used to abduct Ms Valdez (24).
A short time later, at
11pm, he is seen walking back to his car before driving away from the area.
In a cruel twist, the footage was taken at the same time Ms Valdez’s heartbroken family reported her missing to gardaí. The CCTV recording of the killer walking towards the pub was obtained by investigating detectives yesterday as part of their ongoing efforts to establish Hennessy’s movements last weekend.
It is understood that investigators were already aware that Hennessy had spent a short amount of time in the pub on Saturday night, and that other images have been reviewed of him in the area at the time.
Gardaí are now probing if Hennessy managed to purchase cocaine during the brief time he was at the Ballybrack pub.
“He was only there for a number of minutes, and it’s possible he simply went there to buy drugs before leaving again,” a source said.
