BOLGER IS LIKELY TO BE A BIRTHDAY STARLET

-

IT will be a true festive occasion at Tralee’s Kingdom Stadium this evening when the 21st birthday of the Grandstand Restaurant will be celebrated on a programme which includes the heats of the two-run Kerry GAA Supporters Club Race of Champions.

There is a high class entry for the Race of Champions over the

550m trip and the battle for the final six places will be intense.

John Linehan’s flying bitch Droopys Ant (9.12) should set the pace in the first heat but she will be strongly challenged to stay the trip by the likes of Black Eyed Peppa and Droopys Dargle.

Graham Holland’s Triple classic winner Clonbrien Hero

(9.27) is likely favourite for Heat 2 and is taken to lead home veteran Crohane Ronnie and Chespirito.

Following his flying 28.07 trial last week, Liam Dowling’s puppy Ballymac Bolger (9.42) must be fancied for Heat 3 where Javielenko and Buckos Dream are sure to be dangerous.

Paul Hennessy’s new acquisition Priceless Blake (7.55) made a flying Dublin debut last week when winning in 28.64. He displayed big early pace when quickly leaving his rivals struggling and he can once again prove much too good for rivals in the first semi-final of the A4/5. Robert Gleeson’s Dubai Nidge reads the main danger.

John Conway’s Burrow Fly (8.10) chased home Priceless Blake last week some six lengths back but he may be good enough to land the second heat from Ollie Bray’s Dream Delight.
