Living the rural way close to the city

- Slí na Manach, Mungret, Co Limerick

SLÍ na Manach, a development in the Co Limerick village of Mungret, is billed as a taste of rural living within a short drive of the city.

Mungret was originally launched back in 2013 and about 50 homes were built and sold before the scheme was taken over. A second phase of the new section, comprising eight three and four-bed properties, was released in April and three of those are still available. All are three-bed semi-detached houses measuring 1,140 sq ft and costing from €285,000.

The homes have natural stonework cladding to part of the facade, with a painted nap plaster finish to the rest of the front elevation. Would-be buyers have a choice of units and worktops for their fitted kitchen, as well as a choice of tiling.

In the living room, buyers can choose a marble or limestone mantle for the fireplace, a gas fire or a solid fuel stove insert. Each house has an A3 BER. There is underfloor heating on the ground floor and the first floor is heated by radiators. Prospective residents can use the new cycle paths, 30-ac public park and playground that opened in 2016 at Mungret Community College. The Limerick ring road and the tunnel to the west are a 2.5 km-drive, while the city is 7km away.

The sales suite is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4pm to 6pm. Enquiries to: REA O’Connor Murphy (061) 279 300
