Zeus and Centaur announce new jobs

IN a busy day for job announcements yesterday, Irish-owned packaging solutions company Zeus announced plans to create 80 jobs as part of a €27m investment in new premises in Ireland and the UK.

An investment of €15m will see Zeus’ Dublin presence double in size to 250,000 sq ft, with the creation of 50 new jobs. The company is also investing a further €12m in its new 100,000 sq ft premises in Bedfordshire, England, which will create 30 new jobs.

Founded in 1998, Zeus employs 150 people in Ireland, and 300 in total across 13 countries worldwide.

In 2017, the group’s turnover was €135m, and turnover is expected to increase to €150m in 2018.

Meanwhile, Centaur Fund Services is to create at least 30 jobs over the next two years at a new services centre in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

This new location brings the firm’s global presence to eight, and it will provide services to the company’s clients in both the US and Europe.

In other expansion news, Freshly Chopped has announced plans to partner with Mount Charles to expand in Northern Ireland.

Mount Charles is Ireland’s largest indigenous food service and business support services provider. Under the terms of the partnership, Mount Charles will take an exclusive area development contract to roll out Freshly Chopped across Northern Ireland and Donegal.
