Carndonagh Library Using digital design and tools including Laser Cutters, Vinyl Cutters & 3D Printers, you can learn how to design and build a wide range of products and realise your own inventions. The Leitrim Design House pop up tent on The Dock plaza, St George’s Terrace, Carrick-on-Shannon. A drop in children’s workshop with Visual artist Kate Murtagh Sheridan (inset). Children get the chance to explore a unique way of plaster casting whilst letting their imaginatio­ns run riot and making their own plaster plaque from scratch. REBEL STREETS ART FESTIVAL

Bishop Lucey Park, Grand Parade A new Street Art festival will take over Grand Parade. There will be giant art works, demonstrat­ions, talks and workshops. Galway Arts Centre, 47 Dominick Street, Galway

Workshops, 10am – 3pm: Puppetry: Dave Donovan will lead a workshop in devising narrative using Bunraku puppets and black-out poetry. Age 13+

Theatre: Galway Youth Theatre will lead once-off taster workshop in acting & improvisat­ion. Age 13+ Reading, 3pm – 4pm: Young people are invited to perform at a creative-writing open-mic.

Film, 4 – 6pm Screening of films made by young people submitted to Galway Arts Centre, followed by Captain Morten And The Spider Queen. This is the first ever feature film to be animated in stop-motion in Ireland. It is a co-production between Telegael (Ireland), Nukufilm (Estonia), Grid VFX (Belgium) and Calon (UK). Followed by a talk on the process of making this film.

KILKENNY FAIRY HOUSE WORKSHOP
