Expert tip:

PGA professional Donal Gleeson says: “A tee shot of 195 yards from the men’s tees and 185 from the ladies, leaves a 120 yard carry to a two tiered green. An extra one to two clubs is recommended to clear the granite lined water feature. Higher handicapped or shorter hitting golfers should play this one as a three shotter, playing their second shot to the area of fairway right of the green thus avoiding a carry over water.

“Big hitters have the option of flying the stream that dissects the fairway but a minimum carry of 250 yards directly at the conifers is required. Successful execution leaves a 60 to 70 yard pitch and a good birdie opportunity.
