Designer to the stars at BT’s fashion showcase
RICHARD QUINN dresses some of the world’s most famous style icons, from Amal Clooney to Beyoncé, and at age 28 his star is in the ascendant.
The London designer was in Dublin last night for the launch of Create at Brown Thomas, the annual summer showcase of Irish fashion talent. Pieces from his acclaimed AW18 collection, which won the inaugural Queen’s Prize for Design at London Fashion Week, will be on sale in BT for the next six weeks, and the store’s Grafton Street windows feature the floral foil gown Quinn designed for Clooney for the Met Gala in New York in May.
He was accompanied to the launch by his proud Irish parents. His father Patrick comes from Athboy, Co Meath, and his mum Eileen is from Rathmullan, Co Donegal. The designer spent the weekend with his maternal grandparents in Donegal. In Dublin, he attended a photocall with a model wearing the €2,775 coat worn by Beyoncé on her ‘The Run Part II’ tour.
