BORD GÁIS ENERGY MUNSTER U-21HC FINAL

Cork v Tipperary

Páirc Uí Chaoimh, 7.30,

J Murphy (Limerick), TG4

IT has been a busy week for Mark Coleman, Darragh Fitzgibbon and Shane Kingston who started in the Munster final win over Clare on Sunday for the Rebels’ senior side, while wing-forward Robbie O’Flynn came off the bench in that game. Those Cork tyros go in search of a second provincial medal in the space of a few days against a Tipperary outfit that dethroned reigning All-Ireland champions Limerick last time out. However, if Cork’s senior players can recover in time from their weekend heroics, they might be able to shade a tight game and add to the feel-good factor around Cork hurling. Odds: Cork 8/13 Tipperary 13/8 Draw 9/1

Verdict: Cork

BORD GÁIS ENERGY LEINSTER U-21HC FINAL

Wexford v Galway

O’Moore Park, 7.30,

J O’Brien (Laois) GALWAY will look to the likes of Brian Concannon, who came off the bench for the senior Wside in last weekend’s Leinster SHC final draw with Kilkenny, for inspiration as well as Jack Grealish and Seán Loftus who have also seen action for the senior side.

Wexford saw off Dublin last time out and have star man Rory O’Connor in their ranks who will likely have to play tonight and on Saturday evening when the senior side take on Westmeath. They might be up against it here against a Galway side who hit the net three times in their win over Kilkenny last time out. Odds: Galway 4/9 Wexford 21/10 Draw 9/1

Verdict: Galway
