KIDS’ FASHION
Holiday style for little ones.
City Sights
When you think of city breaks, the term ‘kid-friendly’ may not spring to mind, but many cities in Ireland cater hugely to kids with museums, playgrounds, parks and exhibitions. No matter what city you choose to visit, a lot of the sightseeing will be done on foot, so comfortable and durable shoes are a must. Choose a pair in a neutral tone so you don’t have to pack several pairs and make sure your little one has plenty of time to break them in before your trip away. City breaks usually involve spending time out and about from morning to evening so remember to pack comfortable pieces that your child will be happy to spend all day in.
Beach Vibes
When the sun is shining, there’s no better place to spend a day than at the beach. Both in Ireland and abroad, there’s so much to do from catching waves to building sandcastles, but it’s important to pack wisely. When getting ready for the beach, the most important thing to remember is sun protection. Along with a high factor sunscreen, don’t forget wide-brimmed hats that cover the back of the neck, sunglasses with UV protection and swimwear that protects the most delicate areas (shoulders, back of legs etc). Remember to bring light breathable layers in cool light tones. Opt for cotton or linen materials and stay away from dark colours that will attract the heat.
Countryside Cool
A roadtrip to the countryside is a great way to get away this summer, especially if you have very young children. Compared to holidays abroad, it’s low-stress, budgetfriendly and you’re not too far away from home — plus it’s a great way to see more of Ireland. If you love an action-packed itinerary, it’s necessary to pack for all types of weather. If there are forest walks, hikes, playground visits in store, make sure to pack warm waterproof cover-ups and durable but comfortable footwear.
