Wildlife walk

To celebrate nature on campus, NUI Galway has launched a free biodiversity trail where visitors can explore the wide variety of local wildlife here. This includes Ireland’s smallest bird, the goldcrest, as well as many fish and waterbirds, while other animals you may encounter are the badger, fox and pygmy shrew. Visitors can also pick and taste from the multiple organic vegetable and herb gardens and fruit trees.
