Down on the farm

-

Everyone knows it’s not summer unless delicious ice cream is involved, and this year Leahy’s Open Farm, Midleton, Cork has opened its new ice cream and chocolate factory. Here, visitors can sample homemade ice cream made from milk from Maisy the cow, who you can help milk every day at 4pm, as well as crêpes, waffles and chocolatey treats. The farm is open every day from 11am to 6pm and entry is €9.50 per person, with under twos going free, but if you’re living in the area you may want to consider availing of a family membership to enjoy the pig racing every day at 2pm and the three daily petting times.
