JUVENTUS have bid €100 million for Cristiano Ronaldo (right), putting pressure on Manchester United to make a counter offer to re-sign their former player from Real Madrid.

Juventus believe they are in pole position to sign him and feel they are able to offer attractive terms. Whether United also decide to enter the bidding remains to be seen. Ronaldo is believed to be seeking wages of around £500,000 (€568,000) a week and had a difficult relationship with Jose Mourinho towards of the end of his time at Real Madrid.
