Leinster seeking another double at Castle Dargan
LEINSTER will be going for the double-double when they defend the Women and Girls’ Interprovincial titles at Castle Dargan next week.
The Leinster Women, who last won in 2014 at Tramore, overcame Connacht 6.5 – 1.5 at Shannon to win all three matches while the Girls’ team mirrored their senior counterparts, dominating each of their three encounters.
Leinster’s women’s team will be spearheaded by the experience Deirdre Smith from County Louth with Lucan’s Molly Dowling (inset) and Portarlington’s Meadhbh Doyle two of the lynchpins of the side captained by Mary Dowling.
The Leinster Girls team is also strong with the Elm Park quartet of Emma Fleming, Anna Foster, Leah Temple Lang and Emma Thorne the backbone of the team.
