THE LAST SHOWER

Shower curtains get a bad rap — I blame the shower scene in Hitchcock’s movie Psycho (1960) — but nothing bad could possibly happened behind the iconic poppy pattern of the Marimekko Unikko red shower curtain (€60 from cloudberryliving.co.uk).

GNOME PUN INTENDED

No home should be without a garden gnome. For a while they were hard to come by. This one (30 cm high) was spotted in Heatons for €5 alongside a co-ordinating band of dwarves (€7). See heatonsstores.com.

ELEPHANT GRASS

Animal-themed planters from Next come in the shape of giraffes, rabbits, sheep, sausage dogs and these stylised elephants (from €40). The dark grey makes a lovely contrast with green foliage. See next.ie.

BLOCK COLOUR
