■ IRISH Water has warned of hosepipe bans “across the country” in a bid to tackle the crisis caused by drought on a scale not seen in decades.
Restrictions are being imposed on water supplies in various communities nationwide and it is these areas that are now most at risk of an extension of the hosepipe ban.
Tuesday
HOLIDAY plans for tens of thousands of air passengers could be in jeopardy as Ryanair pilots are set to go on strike as early as next week.
The pilots are set to back the strike action in a ballot in a row over workplace perks.
Wednesday
A MOTHER of four was reduced to tears after a GAA steward told her she couldn’t breastfeed her baby in public in the stadium at a match (below).
Iseult Mangan (37), from Mayo, arrived early at St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge, on Saturday so she could feed her son Senan before the grounds became crowded.
