Taoiseach needs to take stock

-

■ It is high time Leo Varadkar stopped these vanity and self-promoting trips.

It is also time he gave up his paranoid obsession with an election and begins to respect the support and loyalty and good faith displayed by Fianna Fáil that he and Fine Gael have received over the past two years.

Any extension of this will have to be earned by Leo and Fine Gael by way of respect etc.

I also feel it is time he buckled down and got involved in the less glamorous work of improving our health services and looking after 4,000 less privileged children.

Since the Fine Gael-led Government came into power we have seen a marked dis-improvement in our health services, with increased and longer waiting lists and a huge increase in patients on trolleys.

I would also like to know the cost of the New York party over the weekend, as I presume it was at the cost of the Irish taxpayer.

Again, our Foreign Affairs Minister should have been sufficient.

Did he mention our third-world health service or housing crises?

Or did he try to raise funds to improve them?
