Taxis for rural drinkers, please

■ Laws need to be enforced – not least drink-driving laws – but isn’t it time our Government ministers realised they are elected to serve the people as well as pass legislation.

They put their heart and soul into getting people to pay property tax, water charges, etc.

I would now like to see Shane Ross and Co put the same effort into improving rural transport and incentivising taxi drivers. Not all of us live in big towns and cities.
