KREDER SECOND
AQUA BLUE SPORTS’ Dutch rider Michel Kreder took second place on stage 2 of the Tour of Austria after being outgunned by Giovanni Visconti of Bahrain Merida at the finish line in Fulpmes – the home town of the Irish team’s Stefan Denifl, who won the race last year but was forced to withdraw from the team after suffering a concussion last week.
Kreder is fourth in general classification, 10 seconds off the lead of Visconti.
Aqua Blue’s Aaron Gate retains the King of the Mountains jersey following a long day in the breakaway yesterday, after he captured all four KOMs on Saturday’s first stage.
