MINORS ABOUT TO FLOWER?

-

AFTER #CarlowRising could we now have #WicklowBlooming?

Their minor footballers pulled off a stunning comeback to earn a Leinster semi-final replay against Kildare.

The Garden County youngsters already knocked out Dublin by beating them to finish second in their group to Meath, whom they’ve also beaten already – so this was no fluke.

Wicklow have only won one provincial minor title – in 1974 – and have lost three finals, the last in 1997, so getting to another would be massive for them.

Despite all the talk of Dublin’s dominance it’s also worth noting that their U-20s lost the Leinster final to Kildare last week. These youngsters are clearly not prepared to accept the status quo.
