Oh, boys! The Brogans welcome twins to family
THE Brogan clan were wetting the twin babies heads this week after the wife of Dublin star Bernard gave birth to two baby boys.
With four of the family having already played for the Boys in Blue, two more may be in contention in the years to come.
Bernard’s wife Keira gave birth to the two boys on Tuesday.
Bernard made a subtle hint about the good news, when he posted a photo on Instagram of two cupcakes with the words, “it’s a boy”.
Celebrating
His brother, Paul – a former Dublin footballer – also posted a photo online of Bernard and family and friends celebrating the two new arrivals.
The couple revealed Kiera’s pregnancy only about six weeks ago, when she was in her third trimester.
Brogan (34) posted a photo onto Instagram saying: “Here’s to summer 2018.”
Earlier this week, Brogan told the Irish Independent that he was ecstatic at the thoughts of becoming a father.
“I’m really, really excited starting a family. I got married at Christmas a year ago and I’m in a new stage of life.
“Sport has been such an important part of my life for a long time, it’s given me a new perspective. It’s a really nice time for us,” he said.
The Dublin forward is currently recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury he sustained earlier this year, and hoping to return before the end of the Championship.
