‘Dream’ may return tohaunt Ellison
ENGLISH trainer Brian Ellison has turned tomorrow’s feature “Ahonoora” Premier Handicap (3.55) at Galway into a procession taking the last four renewals, but he may be outdone by one of his former charges this time around.
Ellison has a remarkable record in the race with 2014/’15 winner Baraweez once again taking his chance while Dream Walker – now in the care of Jarlath Fahey – bids for a unique hat-trick by foiling his former trainer.
With Festival form figures of 3-1-3-1-5, Dream Walker comes alive around Ballybrit and after suffering all sorts of problems trying to get a decent run when fifth in the Colm Quinn BMW Mile Handicap on Tuesday, compensation can be his.
It will be no simple task, however, with host of other raiders looking to plunder the €100,000 pot with John Quinn’s Safe Voyage, Jedd O’Keeffe’s Shared Equity, David Barron’s Danielsflyer and David Loughnane’s Theodorico coming across the Irish Sea to tackle tomorrow’s headline act.
There’s plenty to get the teeth stuck into on the rest of the eightrace mixed card and corks may be popping after the Kenny Galway Handicap Hurdle (2.45).
