Be proud of your results

As you collect your Leaving Cert results don’t believe anyone who tells you that they don’t mean an awful lot. Nothing could be further from the truth. Celebrate your results in a safe and secure way.

They are a significant achievement. Be proud of your results because you have worked damn hard for them.

They open the window of opportunity for education and employment.

The sky is the limit if you stay focussed and make the right moves in the next few weeks. Carefully consider your options, prioritise your education or work goals. Then make an informed decision about your next step. Go for it and seize the moment. Carpe diem.

The current crop of young people is the most educated and confident generation in Irish history. They are better equipped to meet social and employment challenges than ever before.

They have the skills and ambition to take full advantage of the range of opportunities which are available to them. Today’s Leaving Cert class are tomorrow’s leaders in all facets of Irish life.

By the way, your Leaving Cert results are personal and private. You decide who should know about them. They are far too precious to share on social media.
