Monday
■ A YOUNG mother was among two killed in a horrific singlevehicle crash in Co Donegal in the early hours of the morning.
The woman Shiva Devine (below) and a man – both 20 – died when the car in which they were passengers crashed into a wall in Eastend, Bundoran, at 3.25am as it was being driven towards the Border with Co Fermanagh.
Tuesday
■ Pope Francis admitted the Catholic Church “showed no care for the little ones” and “abandoned” victims of clerical sexual abuse. The pontiff wrote a letter to all Catholics in which he condemned clerical sexual abuse and vowed no effort would be spared to prevent the cover-up of such abuse.
Wednesday
■ THE peak of the property market is in sight, as the pace of surging prices will ease off in the coming months, industry experts predict.
But affordability will remain a major problem as prices have now hit the very outer limits families can pay.
Thursday
■ ONE in three Irish families no longer fits into the traditional definition of the family used by the Catholic Church, Government research due to be published next month shows.
