O’Flynn seeks slice of Dublin student market

-

STUDENT living specialist Host has become the latest company to offer purpose-built accommodation to Dublin’s university and college population.

In its first foray into the Irish market, the company, which is part of the O’Flynn Group, has launched the first phase of the ‘Tramshed’, a 966bed purpose-built complex next to the 3Arena at the Point Village in the Dublin Docklands.

Host is already well-established in the UK with facilities operating in 17 cities including London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cambridge, Oxford and Cardiff.

Prices for the 367 rooms included in the first phase of Host’s Tramshed development in Dublin will start at €230 a week, and are based on a 40week or 51-week contract. All bills are included in the price.

Facilities at the complex include a gym, cinema room, common rooms with TV, a club lounge area, gaming pod, roof terrace, courtyard, study areas, a lecture theatre, study spaces, chill-out zones and laundry room.

Students will also have free access to 100mb wifi.

The complex is staffed 24/7 by the Host team with continual CCTV in operation for added security.

“Host has been developing and managing an extensive range of top-quality student accommodation in the UK over many years and is delighted to bring this experience to the Dublin market with the launch of the Tramshed development,” said O’Flynn Group CEO Michael O’Flynn.

“The remainder of the scheme, The Woodworks, comprises 599 beds and is due for completion by the end of the year.”
