There’s still time to lend your support to Barretstown
KILDARE-based children’s charity Barretstown will host a charity golf day to raise much-needed funds at Craddockstown Golf Club in Naas tomorrow.
Set up to provide specialised camps and programmes for children with serious illnesses and their families, golfers are encouraged to tee it up for a good cause.
The four-person team event will feature ‘Beat the Pro’, ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest the Pin’ prizes and if you’re not in a position to attend, you can still support the event as a headline sponsor or perhaps advertise through hole or prize sponsorship.
Speaking ahead of the event Dee Ahearn, CEO of Barretstown said: “Barretstown will provide its medically endorsed camps to over 6,000 seriously ill children and their families this year, completely free of charge.
“Fundraising events such as this Golf Day are vital in helping us to continue to provide our service.
“While our need to raise money is serious, we are also all about fun, and we really look forward to welcoming all of our supporters for an enjoyable day, kindly supported by our neighbours at Craddockstown Golf Club.”
Teams costs €400 per team including dinner and a raffle will also be held on the day.
