O’Brien mob-handed in Leger as Mullins eyes Doncaster Cup

LAH TI DAR is the new favourite for tomorrow’s English St Leger as John Gosden’s unbeaten filly takes on the boys in the season’s final Classic at Doncaster. Frankie Dettori was bullish that the 1m6f stamina test would suit following a scintillat­ing display in the Galtres Stakes at York last month – just her third career start having not raced as a two-year-old – and the Italian jockey’s prayers have been answered. Lah Ti Dar (7/4) usurps Aidan O’Brien’s Kew Gardens (9/4) at the head of affairs but the Ballydoyle maestro is mob-handed with Nelson, Southern France, The Pentagon and Zabriskie all vying to give the 48-year-old a sixth St Leger success.
