Camden four beds hint at funky vibe

CAMDEN AT ROYAL CANAL PARK Ashtown, Dublin 15 Asking price: From €450,000 Agent: Sherry FitzGerald New Homes (01) 667 1888 AFTER Ballymore Group finished building 154 homes at Royal Canal Park, which is situated between Ashtown and Cabra, it moved onto a new section called Camden, a name that hints at a funkier, more urban vibe than the houses at its preceding scheme. Camden at Royal Canal Park, which will consist of 71 homes, was launched in February and the final phase came on stream last weekend. While all the new release’s three-beds, priced from €395,000, were reserved, there are still four-bed homes available from €450,000, as well as the three-bed showhouse and its contents, selling for €465,000. The design of the Camden properties has been attracting professional couples, young families, and local downsizers, the selling agents say. The location has also proved a draw. Ashtown train station is just a 10-minute walk from Royal Canal Park and serves the city centre directly. All the timber-framed houses at Camden, designed by O’Mahony Pike Architects, have higher-than-standard ceiling heights to the ground floor, high-performance hardwood windows, and double-glazed patio doors leading to a rear garden. The custom-designed kitchens are fitted with Minerva worktops and a range of appliances. The Hazel is a four-bed terraced style measuring 1,621 sq ft and comes with a large carport, while the Heron is a fourbed mid-terrace style with 1,677 sq ft of space laid out over three floors. The Willows is an end-of-terrace design with its main entrance located to the side of the house. The showhouses at Camden are on view between 12pm and 2pm tomorrow and Sunday, or by appointment.
