BANNING the media has focused an ironically significan­t amount of public attention on Ryanair’s annual general meeting, which is due to take place on Thursday.

The meeting is an opportunit­y for shareholde­rs to react publicly after the airline has suffered just over a year of significan­t disruption, initially caused by its own inability to roster sufficient pilots to staff flights, and compounded by a subsequent series of strikes by both pilots and cabin crew in a number of markets across Europe.

Elsewhere, the National Ploughing Championsh­ips and the huge associated trade show run on September 18, 19 and 20 at Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly. The event hosts 1,700 exhibitors and 291,500 visitors.

In results, listed property investor Green REIT will publish full-year results tomorrow, with executives likely to include a commentary on the Irish commercial property market.

Stock market newcomer VR Education Holdings is also due to publish interim results tomorrow. The Waterfordb­ased technology company raised €6.75m in March through a dual listing on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM and Irish Stock Exchange’s ESM junior markets.

On Wednesday, Kingfisher and Naturex are both due to publish interim results, followed by interims for Providence Resources on Thursday.

In terms of key indicators, euro area inflation data is due today from Eurostat and will feed into speculatio­n around the timing of ECB rate increases.

At home, Irish factory gate prices for August are due from the Central Statistics Office, and are likely to show a continued decline.
