Thurles set for memorable AIG Cups and Shields Finals
THURLES is the venue for the AIG Cups and Shields Finals from 4-7 October and the schedule for the annual club golf extravaganza has now been confirmed.
With five All-Ireland titles to be won, this annual festival of inter-club golf brings together teams from all four provinces hoping to win that coveted green pennant.
There are two practice days – Tuesday 2 October and Wednesday 3 October – before the main action gets underway on Thursday, 4 October with the semi-finals of the AIG Pierce Purcell Shield and the AIG Barton Shield.
Play concludes on Sunday with finals of the AIG Junior Cup and the AIG Senior Cup.
