Meadow Mount is rare find in suburb

MEADOW MOUNT Churchtown, Dublin 14 Asking price: €845,000 Agent: Vincent Finnegan (01) 298 4695

NEW homes in Churchtown are as rare as hen’s teeth. And even when they do go on the market, there’s no guarantee they’ll go to buyers house-hunting in the suburb. In May, Irish Life Investment Managers bought the new 262 apartments at Fernbank en masse for €120m. However, two new-builds have gone on sale at Meadow Mount. This pair of four-bed semi-detached houses with attic levels was built on a site to the side of 127 Meadow Mount, a property that dates back to the 1960s. Thanks to demand in the area, 127A Meadow Mount has an existing offer of €875,000, while 127B is asking €845,000. Each home is set behind electric gates, where there is gravelled off-street parking and Indian sandstone paving. To the rear is an extra-long southwest-facing garden with mature trees and a patio, also paved in Indian sandstone. Inside, there is a family room, a living room with a solid fuel inset stove, and a kitchen/diner with sliding doors to the patio. Each kitchen is fitted with an island unit, white quartz countertops, under-cabinet lighting, Neff appliances, and a remote-controlled Velux window. All four bedrooms, including the master ensuite, come with fitted wardrobes. Both of the A3-rated homes are equipped with an airto-water heating system, zoned underfloor heating, and charging points for an electric car. Viewings are taking place tomorrow, from 1pm to 1.30pm.
