Dublin marathon secures sponsor

THE Dublin marathon has agreed a new three-year sponsorship deal with KBC Bank Ireland, who take over from SSE Airtricity.

Almost 20,000 runners ran in Sunday’s race and the new deal will include the 40th anniversary of the marathon in 2020.

Race director Jim Aughney said: “We are delighted to welcome KBC as our new title sponsor for the Dublin Marathon. We look forward to building for the future with KBC and celebrating our 40th year.”
