Shels eye Morris (31) as new boss

-

IAN MORRIS has emerged as a leading candidate to become new manager of Shelbourne.

The Bohemians player is working as a youth development officer with his current club and has been heavily involved in their link-up with St Kevin’s Boys.

But it’s understood that Shels have identified Morris (31) as a suitable candidate to lead the First Division club forward.

The new Shels hierarchy want a young boss to replace Owen Heary.

Drogheda supremo Tim Clancy was offered the job but turned it down over the weekend.

Morris has since entered the equation.

He went to Leeds as a teenager and played with a variety of clubs across the water before coming home three years ago following an injury-interrupted spell.
